About Aerial Cinema
With years of on-location and aerial experience, the Aerial Cinema team's dedicated professionals have extensive photography, video and stock industry backgrounds. Our goal is to make beautiful images and footage available for educational, editorial, documentary and commercial use.
High-Definition Video
We use the Cineflex V14 HD gyro-stabilized aerial camera system to create our footage. The Cineflex contains an integrated Sony CineAlta HDC-1500. We record 1920 x 1080 via dual-link 4:4:4 on HDCAM SR tape stock using a Sony CineAlta SRW-1/SRPC-1 digital recording deck. Our ground-based work is captured 1920 x 1080p on the Panasonic P2 HPX-3000 camera with a Fujinon 16x HD lens. Using an AJA Kona 3 video card, we capture our tape-based footage using Final Cut Pro to an 8-Core Mac Pro with 17Gb of RAM and 8TB RAID array. Every file is custom color-enhanced. Please contact Aerial Filmworks for documentary, entertainment or corporate aerial projects.
High Resolution Images
All photographs are shot with our Hasselblad H3D-39 camera. As we shoot, the GPS coordinates of the camera location are embedded into the EXIF data of each image for accurate keywording. Every 39 megapixel image file is meticulously color-corrected and optimized in post-production to the highest industry standards.

Earth-Friendly
Reducing Global Carbon Emissions and Noise |
 |
The Aerial Filmworks team believes in doing our part to maintain a carbon neutral planet through an investment in carbon offset credits. In addition, we review every flight path to determine a balance between noise and fuel consumption. Avoiding known wildlife areas, or remaining downwind of the area reduces our impact. Fortunately, our Cineflex with a 42X lens allows us to zoom in while remaining as much as a mile away. The goal, of course, is to always deliver stunning aerial footage… flying in a more earth-friendly way is better for everyone. |
| Investing in Carbon Offset Credits |
 |
Aerial Filmworks is a "White Badge" partner with Terrapass to purchase carbon offset credits for every hour of flight time that our equipment is on a project. Carbon offset credits help maintain a carbon neutral planet. |
